Pleasant Day in VA

Our first day in Williamsburg was very pleasant, especially after coming out of a blizzard the previous weekend in Ohio.

When he wasn't napping in the carrier, Davy was wanting to run around. At the very least he wanted to walk. Luckily there is a large, open green space for Davy to run in. Most of the time though he was trying to get off the grass. He liked running towards the road (which was for pedestrians and carriages -- horse-drawn of course -- only) or towards the crowds that tended to gather around the stocks beside the courthouse.

Since Davy wanted to walk and steal Grandpa's cane, we didn't go into many houses. This tended to be a pattern on the trip. I've been so many times that it didn't matter much to me. Davy and I -- and sometimes Joe -- just found somewhere to walk/run/climb.

Aren't the boys cute in their matching shirts?
