I swore Davy wasn't going to have a gun, but he has one. It was even my idea. After several days of prying Grandpa's cane away from Davy and dealing with Davy's whining/screaming afterwards, I had enough. So we bought Davy a wood gun, and Davy loved it. He carries it the exact same way he carries the cane. As soon as we were out of the store, Davy started down the street with the gun. I think we made more than one child jealous. We heard comments like "that baby has a gun." Little did they know that the gun was a replacement for a cane. Go figure.
Right after Davy got the gun, a re-enacter walked by with a period-style cane. Davy immediately turned around to follow the gentleman and I had to catch him before he grabbed the man's cane. Davy also tried to get on someone's scooter parked outside the bakery. The scooter was across the courtyard from where Davy was playing, but he still tried to go after it. He obviously still remembers Grandpa's scooter from Disney.
