Wearing Mommy's Shoes

Bet you thought by the title that the shoes would be pretty, huh?

Yes, these are my shoes. Not Joe's. I have big feet, but in my defense, these are men's shoes and rather big on me. That's why they are my lawn mowing shoes (as per the pretty green color on the toe and along the sole).


Davy loves to walk in these shoes. The shoes live in the garage, and any time Davy goes in the garage (or sees me go in the garage), he makes a bee-line for them. He takes off his own shoes in anticipation of putting these shoes on. As soon as I put up the garage door, his shoes come off and mine go on. My shoes go on his feet, that is.

The most amazing thing is that Davy can jump in my shoes. He barely leaves the ground (my shoes are heavy), but he is jumping nonetheless.
