6 Month Check Up

Davy had his six month check up this morning. Ann came with us, and she and I both thought Davy's weight gain had halted. Yeah, not so much. He gained just an ounce short of a pound. In three weeks. He is in the 95% for weight. The good news is though that he is really tall -- and not just fat. He is 28 3/4 inches tall, which is off the chart. He didn't cry for his shots (2 of them) either. The doctor noticed that his top, front two teeth are coming in. You can see them through the gums. It isn't as gross as it sounds.

Davy is getting very particular. He has developed a new, distinct cry. And he uses it to get Mommy. It doesn't matter if Daddy is holding him. He has to have me. I call it the magic touch. It makes it seem like I'm doing something special to get Davy to stop crying. When really this is just my reward for spending all my time with him.
