Cruising

Joe and I have been trying to co-sleep with Davy since Thursday, but Joe was really tired after losing sleep and walking around everywhere on Saturday, so he slept in his room Saturday night. Friday night I decided to put Davy between Joe and I, and I think Joe didn't sleep very well because he was worried about rolling over on Davy. Joe must have been really tired .... I woke him up to ask him if he was going to Mass around 10 or 10:15 today, and he went back to sleep until almost 1 PM! Usually he can't go back to sleep again if he wakes up that late in the morning. I usually would have tried to get Joe up earlier, but Davy had fallen asleep on me so I let him nap. Davy had two naps by the time Joe woke up.

I did get a bunch done this afternoon though. I took down the bed in the loft and put the mattress on the floor so that Davy can crawl off safely. He goes down head-first and just keeps going. It looks funny. I also got the loft cleaned up so he can safely move around. It is way easier getting things done when Joe watches Davy.

Davy is starting to cruise.... just a little. At first when he pulled himself up, he would drop down and crawl over to what he wanted and then pull himself up again. Now he's starting to edge over to what he wants. It's clear that he isn't thinking about what he's doing. He does it when he wants to get to something, but then when we try to get him to do it, he acts like he doesn't know how. It's really funny. Davy also is starting to pull himself up on things, then let go. He doesn't fall immediately. Instead, he stands there for a second or two, then falls down on his bottom. He tried to catch himself by grabbing at Joe's hair this afternoon. Davy still fell.
