Carly's Recital & A Milestone -- May 19, 2007

Joe, Davy, and I went to Carly's recital today. Carly did a fantastic job (yeah Carly), and was so patient while waiting for her class' turn to dance. It amazes me that she was doing her 1st grade workbook while waiting! When Joe, Katie, Davy, Molly, and I went down to visit her before the start of the show, she was doing her workbook and all the other girls were coloring! She's such a diligent learner....It's neat that she likes to learn and takes the initiative.

Davy decided to roll over for the first time today! He waited until we weren't looking (of course!) to roll from his back to his stomach. I was in the kitchen, and Joe was upstairs. Davy was playing on the floor. All of a sudden I hear Joe say "Davy, did you roll over?" I ran in, and sure enough Davy was on his stomach after being on his back. He was unhappy on his tummy, so I asked him if he could roll over again. Sure enough, he rolled then from his stomach to his back. It is so like him to wait and do things all at once. I think his waiting to be born until the doctor came back into town was just a sign of things to come.

So watch out! We already knew Davy could scoot himself with his feet, but now he's rolling. Our little boy is mobile. Sniff.
