Bob the Builder

Davy says "Bob the Buidtah," "Can we fix it?" and "Thomas" (referring to Thomas the Train). He doesn't really watch these shows, but we have books about them that were handed down to Davy. All trains are Thomas.

Davy's also taken to saying "I want that" or "I don't want that." "Cupcake" and "lolly" (Joe got Davy to call lollipops "lollies") are also popular. Along with "Get ready, Get set, go!" If you say part of it, Davy will finish.

Davy has an attachment object. His name is "Little Man" and he came with a truck. Little Man has a red hat, and he's about the size of the old-fashioned little people. Little Man likes to ride on trains, cars, and trucks. He also likes being carried around everywhere. If you look closely at the zoo pictures from last week, you can see Little Man. He is such a fixture recently, that Davy wakes up in the middle of the night and asks for Little Man.

Davy loves to help me fix stuff. We "fixed" the vacuum today. Mostly he helped by turning it off and on while I tried to de-clog it. And he was kind enough to share the screw driver with me. He very unhappy until he got a turn with it too and realized that we were sharing and I would give it back. Although, to be fair, the whole reason the vacuum was clogged in the first place was his fault. He decided to scatter shredded paper that I've been saving for my worms all over the living room and kitchen. It looks like it snowed in here. He loves making piles with it and putting piles of shredded paper into his dump truck.

Worm update. They are not dead as I feared. I moved the compost into the garage to make it easier to compost scraps this fall and to prevent worms freezing to death. I think the compost generates enough heat to keep them alive, but they are to precious to risk.
