Merry First Christmas!

We did stockings Christmas morning, and Davy got a Care Bear in a Santa costume, an Elmo matching tin with cookies inside, and several wooden cars. The Care Bear was an Oopsie Bear, but Joe picked it out because it looked like a Wiccan bear with a star on his tummy. It's supposed to look the bear drew on his own symbol, but it does look rather like a pentagram.

Davy's favorite thing though was the elephant, zebra, and giraffe wood toys. I put them out for him, and he immediate went over and started playing with them. Joe has a plastic bucket sitting out, and Davy thought the animals should live there. All day he kept putting animals in the bucket and getting them out again later. Davy also enjoyed the roll of wrapping paper. Since he was having so much fun with these toys, we just held the other Christmas presents back. He'll probably get one every day through the Christmas season instead of everything today.

We went to Sarah & Jeff's house in the afternoon to share presents and eat Christmas ham. Davy was distracted by the Radio Flyer his grandparents bought him, so he was totally uninterested in opening any presents with his cousins. He was last in the rotation, so we just skipped him. He didn't care. He just liked getting on and off the Radio Flyer.

Davy was also very interested in the cleaning toys that Aunt Katie bought him. He kept dragging them around with him. I think he thought they were canes like Grandpa's.
