Entry for April 02, 2007

I didn't take this picture today, but I thought it looked cute. I really like several of the pictures I've taken since Friday, so it was a hard choice. Who can resist a naked baby though?

Davy met one of his great-grandmas for the first time on Saturday. He has two great-grandmas, but only one lives close enough to visit. The other lives in Salt Lake City. Grandma did pretty well. She held him and could remember that he is named after his grandfathers, but she couldn't remember Davy's name(s). She seemed to enjoy him though, even if she couldn't hold him for very long. He's just a little heavy for her to hold for more than a few minutes at a time.

We finalized our Disney vacation and put down our deposit. We don't have our flight planned yet because we are debating whether to go from the 5-12th in order to save $100 or just suck it up and go from the 6-13th as planned.

I went shopping this morning to get Mikey his birthday present and Easter basket. Since Mom is on vacation, she asked me to get his presents -- his birthday is on Easter -- and basket so they would be waiting for him when they return on the 8th. It's amazing how much attention Davy gets when I carry him in the pouch. People just keep smiling and commenting. It took me a while since he was facing outward to realize that Davy had fallen asleep. I have more shopping to do tomorrow: grocery and CompUSA (tax software... we're a little behind in getting started this year). Plus I have to go by my mom's to drop off the presents and take out her kitchen trash. She called me on her way to the cruise Sunday to tell me that she forgot to take out the trash after she threw out a bunch of meat (gross)!
